How to mount The Dump Pouch with Teklok

Updated: Dec 2, 2025

How to mount The Dump Pouch with Teklok. Our dump pouch is one of the most versatile pouches on the market. Buy one here

hey what's up guys so today let's talk

about how to mount

um the kinetic Consulting slash Flatline

fiberco dump pouches right which they

all have this Squadron material on

something like a tech lock right so with

with tech lock you don't have the Mali

loops and stuff to like kind of go

through and it doesn't kind of work with

the actual Tech lock pieces so what we

can do though and what is warranted by

Flatline fiberco is actually cutting or

burning into this pattern so I'm going

to show you guys how to do it and

hopefully it goes right because this is

kind of like a first time try with this

thing so

with this technique uh just realize that

if you it up it's no big deal you

can send your dump pouch back and uh and

it'll be replaced or re-sewn in some

form or fashion

um because it is warrantied the the

modification of this area so first thing

we'll do is we'll take the tech lock off

and this is a simple Blade Blade Tech

pouch that I've had for uh probably too

long and I don't use it often but it it

could use a little spruced up you know

mag pouch stuff so I'll take all this

stuff off and I'll fast forward through

this so you guys don't have to like kind

of see deal with it

all right cool so now that we've taken

it off and you guys can see how long the

thing's been together

um it's pretty nasty but

with this pouch if I was trying to use

this pouch because I really like it or I

was trying to use something with a tech

lock pattern of any sort right I could

go ahead and modify this pouch to work

with that now just something to be aware

of right this pouch was meant to be put

on like so-ish so what we're going to do

is we're going to figure out what hole

pattern we want to do and how to fit the

pouch in that whole pattern and then

burn those holes in with a soldering

iron that I have

so first off is kind of looking at the

pattern that I already had which is

pretty simple it was one two three right

so we're going to go ahead and draw

those or mark them with a Sharpie on my

actual dump pouch so what I like to do

is kind of look at where I can put it

right once I find those spots I'm like

well I can put a hole here hole here and

I can put a hole here so let me go and

align that the best I can cool that'll

work so I'm going to probably go through

this process right here so what I like

to do is I like to actually poke a hole

poke a hole

and where's that third one right about

here and poke a hole so now I can go

ahead and flip it around

take the tech lock oh I'm sorry

keep it on this side take the tech lock

line it up with those little uh pushes

that I put in which I know they're hard

to see for you guys but I can see them

with myself right so right about hereish

so then I will take a sharpie which I

have conveniently forgot to put on the

table

and I will go ahead and Mark those spots

one there

one there

and one there

okay then from there cap my Sharpie so I

don't draw all over my my desk here and

then all right guys so now that we've

we've made our holes right and we've

marked them with the Sharpie this is

where I would take my soldering iron and

go ahead and make those holes so I like

to essentially just grab this and go for

it now something to stabilize it just in

case you uh don't want to like push

through the material and then it starts

to bend and stuff and then you make a

shitty hole I'll press it against my

pouch or something hard if you're

worried about your pouch getting ruined

then you know you you don't have to do

that but just essentially boom poke a

hole in it right and if you're using a

soldering iron it happens very quick and

just be aware it does smell so you know

if if you don't want the smells go ahead

and open a window or some or do

this outside in your garage or something

so last hole right make sure this one's

good

and that's it so now that I've burned

three holes in it like put my soldering

iron down nicely

um now I can go ahead and reattach all

the hardware and stuff uh onto here so

the way I like to do it I usually grab

the back ends all right slap those bad

boys on

hold them with a finger while I go ahead

and find where to position this thing

foreign

guys

and there you go

simple as that nothing too crazy uh now

the dump pouch is attached where it can

be now folded

and now you have a pouch that is Kydex

with tech lock that you could use my

dump pouch on

so hope this helps guys if you have any

questions put them below I'll try to

answer them but um it's pretty

straightforward whatever whole pattern

you're looking for burn that whole

pattern in try to go as deep as your

soldering iron to make that uh size hole

that you need for the screws and rock on

man and like I said this is an older

Kydex pouch that I probably wouldn't use

um if I couldn't you know make it modern

or modernize it a little bit which this

goes ahead and does what uh for me

personally I like having a dump pouch on

my uh mag pouches so that I can do more

with them so I hope this helps guys uh

if you like I said any questions let me

know take care
