Low Visibility Episode 4 takes us into the less probable but still possible realm of scaling you carry from low vis to more. Think of it as EDC++. Enjoy.
hey what's up guys so welcome to episode
0:11
4 for low viz stuff now with episode 4 I
0:15
want to go a little bit further into it
0:18
so episode one we talked about clothing
0:20
episode two we talked about your
0:22
essentially first line gear right like
0:24
what you carry on your body and then
0:26
three we talked about your bag all right
0:29
and like supplementing with a bag of
0:31
some sort and then the fourth one we're
0:33
going to talk about either supplementing
0:35
even further and we're going to kind of
0:37
get a little bit more on I would say the
0:40
hypothet the hypothetical side of things
0:42
versus The Realistic side of things and
0:44
that's okay like we have to understand
0:46
like where can this go and how can we
0:49
scale and it could be based on a bunch
0:51
of different things so I have my notes
0:54
here so I can kind of keep uh track of
0:56
things so if you see me looking down
0:57
that's what it is now first thing um why
1:00
do we need to scale up from hey I just
1:03
carry a backpack with my normal stuff
1:06
well like what if you have to get to
1:08
point A to point B and you have civil
1:10
unrest going on or rioting or something
1:14
of that sort which we have seen so think
1:17
back 2021 you know and 2020 like where
1:20
we had a lot of civil unrest a lot of
1:22
rioting going on in major cities well if
1:25
you don't live by a major city no big
1:26
deal you're good but uh if you do and
1:29
you have to deal with that that kind of
1:30
stuff uh you may want to start thinking
1:32
about different things so let's
1:34
hopefully go through some stuff to make
1:35
you think about it now the first thing
1:38
to kind of look at is of course like
1:40
what do you need uh for what you're
1:42
trying to do so uh setting anything up
1:45
like this is going to be very strictly
1:47
Associated to like what you do what your
1:50
environment looks like and what the
1:51
situation is at hand so if you're trying
1:53
to prepare yourself for uh what can
1:57
happen we want to make sure that we
1:58
prepare ourselves properly
2:00
and also that you set yourself up for
2:02
success and not uh pack the entire you
2:05
know um I guess the whole trunk of
2:08
things that you don't actually need and
2:10
what you actually do need to get from
2:12
point A to point B whether that's work
2:14
to home home to work or home to
2:18
somewhere to go help somebody that you
2:20
care about that you're will willing to
2:21
risk your life for
2:24
or um you actually do this for a living
2:27
and you have to have a certain amount of
2:29
kids already prepared for in case you
2:32
have to do stuff in a lowvz environment
2:35
um and then go into I would say like
2:37
almost hi is at some point or portray
2:40
yourself that way in in some way so we
2:43
we'll go through a list of things and
2:45
honestly this comes down to like what
2:46
you need I know for a fact uh this is
2:49
not going to be for everybody and um
2:51
like I said we're getting a little bit
2:53
more far-fetched but it is something
2:54
that's useful for you to either
2:57
understand or to start making you think
2:58
about different ways of getting through
3:00
this stuff with yourself or for yourself
3:03
so now that that's kind of out of the
3:05
hand or out of the way let's talk about
3:07
like different things so um what can I
3:10
do to scale up so like let's say we did
3:14
we did conceal carry or EDC right then
3:18
we did EDC plus which was your bag now
3:21
let's go plus plus right like plus what
3:23
else well plus what else would be now
3:25
adding a larger firearm a larger bag uh
3:28
maybe a plate Carri other things that
3:30
will get involved and we'll go through
3:32
like an example over here of like
3:34
something that I would pack uh depending
3:36
on what I'm doing but uh it'll scale up
3:38
and down from there
3:40
so um with this right let's go bags
3:43
first right because we have to use
3:45
something to carry extra stuff now your
3:48
everyday carry bag like you guys saw in
3:50
my previous episode uh it does not isn't
3:53
big enough to carry a rifle it's maybe
3:55
big enough to carry something like this
3:57
all right but not really a rifle or up
4:00
uh scale up from there uh we'll talk
4:02
about firearms in a little bit but if I
4:04
want to scale to a larger gun right a
4:07
larger rifle subgun or or even you know
4:11
a pistol with an adapter of some sort or
4:13
whatever uh I need a larger bag well
4:16
depends on your environment but your bag
4:19
may need to be um something very
4:22
inconspicuous uh I don't want my bag to
4:25
scream firearm right I can't take a
4:27
Pelican case like I do on my trips to go
4:29
work um I can't do things like that
4:32
because it's going to be very obvious of
4:33
what I'm carrying in that so I want to
4:35
bring less attention to myself but also
4:37
still be able to carry stuff so large
4:40
tool bags large duffel bags but not
4:44
enormous right a duffel bag that you
4:46
would carry let's say I was going to the
4:48
gym every morning right or I wanted to
4:51
portray myself like I go to the gym
4:53
before work and that's why I have an
4:55
extra devil bag that may be something to
4:57
think about or even taking the bag that
5:00
you carry every day and seeing if they
5:02
make a larger version of it so same one
5:05
not don't go from small bag to like
5:07
enormous bag but like small bag to
5:09
medium or higher right like it may give
5:12
you the the nonchalant that you can walk
5:15
into work with the same thing and not
5:17
portray yourself uh too weirdly so
5:20
different things to think about but it
5:22
also depends on what you're trying to do
5:24
so if I'm trying to go rescue somebody
5:26
uh I may scale this differently right
5:28
and a duffel bag won't matter because I
5:29
may be taking a vehicle or uh some kind
5:32
of Transportation that's going to be
5:34
this will be null and void I could hide
5:36
that stuff in the vehicle and have it
5:38
staged under a jacket or something like
5:40
that or a blanket so all depending on
5:43
what you're doing but uh but like I said
5:46
the bag is going to matter or the way
5:48
you transport is going to matter and
5:50
kind of very much dictated by what
5:53
you're doing and what you what you have
5:55
available to you so second thing to kind
5:58
of think about is now the weapons right
6:00
like what what am I scaling to now I
6:02
would say like uh most likely uh
6:05
depending on what I'm doing I don't need
6:08
to scale all the way up to a rifle or
6:11
even like a subun like this so I may not
6:14
need to scale that far up but once again
6:17
just depends I may need to so I like
6:20
having the option but if I'm scaling up
6:22
a little bit it may be as simple as
6:25
scaling to some armor and suppressing my
6:28
everyday carry gun and and bring some
6:30
more ammo for it so something as simple
6:32
as that could be also considered scaling
6:35
so the suppressor is to just bring less
6:38
attention to me if in the case I need to
6:40
use it to extract myself or leave a
6:43
certain situation or you know just dip
6:47
out of that area um I'm bringing less
6:49
attention to myself especially from the
6:50
mob of people if that's the circumstance
6:52
that's going on so I want to be
6:54
available or I want that available to me
6:56
I like pistol suppressors so that's
6:58
something that I kind of lean towards
7:00
but it is something for you to think
7:01
about if you're uncomfortable with that
7:03
situation or that's not legal in your
7:05
area maybe upgrading to something larger
7:08
that can give you a little bit more
7:09
accuracy for what you're doing or at
7:11
least a little scaled up um ability to
7:14
shoot faster or more controlled uh than
7:17
a handgun that may be a thing or scaling
7:20
up to a rifle where you're going to need
7:22
a different type of Mag different type
7:24
of ammo and you you may want to uh have
7:27
something large enough to hold it and
7:29
conceal it like big jackets and things
7:31
like that because you can't just like
7:33
run around with a rifle most of the time
7:35
now is there circumstances and times and
7:37
places absolutely once again it's all up
7:40
in the air right for you to like you
7:42
know war game for yourself until you
7:44
figure out what you need now um going
7:48
from there right let's let's talk on
7:50
your play carrier your play carrier is
7:52
going to dictate a lot of things or be
7:54
based around a lot of things so I don't
7:56
use my fullon like direct action type of
8:00
load out for this kind of stuff uh I
8:02
like to go and scale really thin and use
8:05
a lowprofile play carrier I'll show you
8:07
guys in a little bit what that looks
8:09
like and what that would be like uh in
8:11
here but that's something that I'm I'm
8:13
going to try and do or scale into
8:16
because I can make that uh available to
8:20
me in a very low profile where I can
8:22
wear something over it uh I could I
8:24
could just wear a flannel or a light
8:26
jacket like a rain jacket or a
8:28
windbreaker or even a a straight up like
8:32
working vest for like uh hiis working
8:35
vest to make me look like more
8:36
construction or uh labor right and if
8:40
that's the case then cool I can I can
8:41
scale to those things but I like being
8:43
able to scale that armor up if I needed
8:45
to so if I need to carry more mags more
8:47
medical more whatever I'm going to be
8:49
able to scale that or be able to scale
8:51
it and I'll show you guys options for
8:52
that in a little
8:53
bit um medical Right medical is going to
8:56
be a big one if it's a civil unrest
8:58
thing and and there's rioting there's
9:00
going to be injuries uh the potential
9:02
for you to get injured is pretty high
9:03
the potential for you to have to help
9:05
others especially the people that you're
9:06
going there for to rescue or help or be
9:09
around that may be a big thing so
9:11
medical is going to be still huge uh I
9:13
prefer a fanny pack for that kind of
9:15
stuff cuz fanny packs will look normal
9:17
and sometimes you won't even notice them
9:19
on people if they're the right colors
9:21
with the schemes that they're wearing or
9:23
the darkness levels or lighting levels
9:25
of the area are different you may be
9:27
able to hide a fanny pack really really
9:29
good
9:29
um or use them for crossbody stuff and
9:32
they look pretty normal for most people
9:34
CU that's getting more popular and you
9:36
could use all sorts of them for a lot of
9:38
different things next one restraints
9:41
right like is that something that I'm
9:43
going to need or want to carry on me
9:46
that may be something for you to like
9:47
kind of discuss with yourself and figure
9:49
out because restraints are going to be
9:50
important to understand like can I do
9:53
certain things and can I restrain
9:54
somebody and then get out of there and
9:56
or is it even worth me restraining them
9:58
and how d dous is it for me to do that
10:00
by myself or with somebody else so I
10:03
want to be aware of those things and be
10:04
able to once again either scale two it
10:07
or scale away from it depending on what
10:09
I'm doing and what your uh job or what
10:12
you're trying to do is is happening so
10:16
as you can see like this is very much up
10:18
in the air based off of what you need
10:19
but it's something to think about
10:21
restraints next one is some form of
10:24
making fire or smoke or uh or or
10:28
creating smoke right like smoke grenades
10:30
or even using um bangers right like
10:32
Airsoft bangers or even better right if
10:34
that's if that's available to you uh
10:36
fire can be a bunch of different things
10:38
right I'm not saying like make a fire
10:40
and cook something but like what if I
10:42
can create fire and create diversion so
10:44
that I can escape a certain area or
10:46
create a fire to create a signal to help
10:48
get help all sorts of things that you
10:49
could use fire for but it is something
10:51
that I want available to me uh and then
10:54
last Stitch like warmth if you want to
10:56
call it that or lighting um hopefully it
10:58
doesn't get down to that
11:00
there's other ways of lighting up stuff
11:02
um smoke grenades and bangers can also
11:05
be used for diversion and also for use
11:08
of extracting yourself from a situation
11:10
so if I'm in a vehicle and I'm having to
11:12
roll down the street that looks pretty
11:14
pretty uh crummy I may be dropping some
11:17
bangers out that window to uh force
11:20
people away from my car right for force
11:22
people to get back or some form of that
11:25
so or just not drive that way in the
11:27
first place if I can get get away with
11:29
it so depends on the circumstances but
11:30
it is available to you and then lastly
11:34
if you're going to see civil unrest if
11:36
you notice there was a lot of smoke gas
11:38
being ex extra added into the air right
11:42
like spicy air and stuff um and things
11:45
like that based off of like all the
11:46
rioting that was happening I do not want
11:49
to ingest that if I don't have to uh I
11:51
will bring a gas mask and I will bring a
11:53
gas mask for somebody that needs one
11:55
like my person I'm saving or the people
11:57
I'm trying to help so either disposable
12:00
ones like the Avon ones that are out
12:02
there or full-on gas masks that you have
12:04
available to you I would highly
12:06
recommend kind of looking at those
12:07
things and being able to do that
12:11
so with that all said and kind of like
12:14
put into a line I'm going to show you
12:17
guys an example of a good bag or a bag
12:19
setup that I would go through if I
12:21
needed to conceal a bunch of stuff in my
12:23
car and maybe even transport it into
12:25
another place and be able to walk around
12:27
with it pretty normal because the bag is
12:29
pretty normal for the most
12:31
part all right guys so let's go through
12:35
what I personally would start to look at
12:38
like as a basic setup so that I can
12:41
scale up or down from there and kind of
12:43
like how I would look at this now this
12:45
is just an example of a duffel but like
12:47
I said I would use a larger backpack
12:50
compared to the one that I carry
12:51
normally or a tool bag that looks pretty
12:54
normal uh things like that that would
12:56
get me in and out of places a little bit
12:58
easier but a duffel bag Works depending
13:00
on how much you're going to carry and
13:01
how big of a scaling you're doing from
13:04
your everyday carry to everyday carry
13:07
plus plus if you want to call it that so
13:09
um going from just backpack that you
13:11
carry every day with all the normal
13:12
Essentials and then adding or scaling up
13:16
to Bringing armor suppressors more
13:19
medical what whatever what what have you
13:21
that you're going to bring so here's
13:23
here's an example right so we look at
13:26
this this is just like an REI backpack
13:28
or sorry bag it's about a 60 L there it
13:31
is 60 L uh it's one of their big haul
13:34
bags that they call them big haul bags
13:36
but I do have a 100 lit one that is
13:38
gigantic compared to this but it is
13:41
something that you can look at
13:44
now getting this open right this kind of
13:47
bag has a zipper on the back on the lid
13:51
and uh so it offers a little bit of
13:53
organization but most of the stuff
13:54
inside is either free or if it's if it's
13:58
something that I want to
13:59
uh contain I have it in a pack or a
14:03
pouch so I'm I'm going to get this out
14:04
of the way and then pull from it to talk
14:06
about stuff
14:10
so the the first thing we'll talk about
14:12
is weapons right which is actually at
14:15
the bottom of this uh just out of the
14:16
sake of like organizing it but you could
14:18
put it at the top or at the bottom
14:20
whatever is accessible and whatever you
14:21
need most for me the I put the medical
14:24
and the gas mask and the armor up front
14:27
because I probably have my carry gun and
14:29
I want to I I'll scale to a larger
14:31
firearm when necessary I rather have
14:34
those other items in in front depending
14:37
once again what I'm doing so before we
14:40
get to firearm uh or sorry let me dig
14:42
out the
14:43
firearm all right guys so going from
14:46
there right I'm going to bring my I'm
14:48
probably going to bring some kind of
14:49
short barrel rifle now if I live in more
14:51
of a rural area and I do want more
14:54
magnification or uh more P availability
14:57
I may use a magnifier or actually put
14:59
put an lpvo on it but it depends once
15:01
again what you're doing
15:03
now if your state allows it uh it is
15:06
something to grab I like having
15:08
something 115 or larger personally not
15:12
that 105s or anything like that are
15:14
different or worse or anything like that
15:15
you probably store it a little better
15:17
you could also use folding adapters but
15:19
if I bring a large enough bag like you
15:21
guys saw I could actually put this in
15:23
there pretty easily and this is an 115
15:25
collapse down as as small as it can go
15:28
and then having my
15:32
and available to me in some form or
15:35
fashion so having some kind of
15:38
availability of suppression I want that
15:40
so I can slap that on there rack around
15:43
and then get right to it so it it gives
15:46
me a nice clean setup that I can kind of
15:48
play with this Rifle right here if
15:50
you're interested it is the team room
15:53
rifle from uh the guys down in Sarasota
15:55
the team room is one of my f one of my
15:57
one of my best friends uh runs it or
16:00
owns it and he made his own rifle with
16:02
Sons of Liberty it is a really nice
16:05
rifle and uh and I'm excited to kind of
16:08
shoot it more but uh since I just got it
16:10
that's why it looks so nice right now
16:12
but it is one of those things like I'm
16:14
going to set it up for what I like to
16:16
shoot how I like to shoot and the
16:18
benefits of using an AR in this
16:20
situation are that I'm comfortable with
16:22
one very comfortable shooting one I've
16:24
been using one for uh I mean longer than
16:27
I I've been shooting one longer than I
16:29
haven't been shooting one and uh which
16:31
makes it really easy to kind of
16:33
manipulate and stuff like that now let's
16:35
say I wasn't going to use a
16:38
rifle and I wanted to use something
16:41
similar that is where like MPX is or
16:44
like a subun that has similar similar
16:47
features and similar buttons helps out
16:50
so I can minimize it or minimize my
16:52
signature a little bit more by using
16:53
something smaller and this is the
16:55
smallest I have because I do like longer
16:57
guns personally I don't like super short
17:00
uh subguns but if you have something
17:02
smaller man that that is definitely an
17:04
option right to minimize your signature
17:06
a little bit but um with this SD right
17:09
the MPX SD I could do quite a bit and it
17:12
has all the same kind of features or uh
17:15
availability that my AR does it just can
17:17
collapse smaller and I can use the same
17:20
kind of ammo that I use in my carry gun
17:21
so it's kind of nice so depends on what
17:24
you're doing weapon wise and what you're
17:25
going to do but like I said
17:30
but like I said if all fails I am just
17:32
going to use a suppressor for my carry
17:35
gun and that is what I'm going to carry
17:37
with me as an extra so this makes it so
17:39
that I can throw this can even maybe the
17:41
enlarged version so instead of using the
17:44
K size maybe get the longer uh extension
17:46
to it make sure your can works on your
17:49
carry gun with your carry ammo and it's
17:50
very reliable if not you may have to
17:53
play with recoil springs that's usually
17:54
what you have to play with especially if
17:56
you have an aftermarket gun that doesn't
17:58
use the same recoil weight as a regular
18:00
gun uh remember when these are made
18:03
they're made and tested with stock guns
18:05
so you want to make sure you prepare
18:07
yourself uh for a little bit of tweaking
18:09
when it comes to Pistol cans so
18:11
something to think about maybe something
18:13
uh future video should be on but that's
18:15
an option right so something to kind of
18:17
think about so whether you use a regular
18:19
rifle or you use a subgun or you just
18:22
use a can and attach it to your carry
18:24
gun and now you have uh some some
18:29
availability to you that you may not
18:30
have had before so something to think
18:33
about now scaling further right so we
18:36
talked about weapon now let's talk about
18:38
play carrier right I don't want to use a
18:41
fullon play carrier that I would use for
18:43
like direct action stuff so I personally
18:46
have a low viz carrier now this low viz
18:49
carrier is from velocity systems I don't
18:52
know if they sell it anymore so sorry if
18:54
they don't but there's a ton of guys
18:55
that make low viz carriers um pherocon
18:58
Concepts makes the slickster that can be
19:00
used this way and but something with
19:03
really thin shoulders right something I
19:05
could hide underneath uh a lot of or a
19:08
jacket a clothing just a larger shirt
19:11
anything like that that's going to give
19:12
me a low viz carrier that I can put
19:15
rifle plates in I like having rifle
19:17
plates up to you what you want to carry
19:19
in there is up like it's straight up
19:21
your choice obviously but one of the
19:24
things you'll notice is there's no
19:25
pouches on the sides which you can do
19:28
side cumber buns that have pockets but
19:30
um personally I like being very slick
19:33
with my carrier that way I can scale up
19:35
or scale down and I can already have it
19:37
on I could put it on before I even get
19:39
into a situation I could pull it out of
19:40
the bag throw it underneath a shirt or
19:42
jacket or whatever and get away with
19:44
things now a lot of times I'll put this
19:47
under a rain jacket and that's because I
19:49
live in South Florida or I used to live
19:51
in South Florida and if I put it under a
19:53
rain jacket it doesn't look weird right
19:55
because it rains so often down in
19:57
Florida it's not a weird thing to have a
19:59
rain jacket on or like a windbreaker or
20:01
something like that it is weird to be
20:04
wearing like a hoodie if it's not chilly
20:06
out or at all so something to think
20:10
about but if that's a normal thing for
20:12
your area man a hoodie would make this
20:15
thing disappear now another way to make
20:18
this thing disappear is using something
20:21
very high viz so a high viz working
20:25
vest as you can see here nothing wild
20:28
about it it but this will make the pl
20:31
carrier disappear and I'll try and uh
20:33
put some b-roll in here of you guys
20:35
seeing me with it on but it'll disappear
20:38
a play carrier really fast and it'll
20:39
disappear you really fast because guess
20:42
what nobody looks at the dude with the
20:45
high Vis vest on uh with any scrutiny
20:48
they're just like ah he's doing some
20:50
work right or for example in a riot uh
20:53
he's he's literally trying to get out of
20:55
here or he's doing some kind of like
20:58
service around here they usually don't
21:00
bother you now if it is the
21:02
circumstances of a riot you may not even
21:04
care about this and you may just put
21:05
that carrier on and just get Boogie
21:07
right and get get out of your your get
21:09
out of that situation as soon as you can
21:10
but this is an option that I would
21:12
highly recommend and they're very easy
21:14
to get it's not a controlled item it's
21:16
something you literally buy off Amazon
21:19
uh very useful for those that know how
21:22
useful this is um I you can add in the
21:27
comments if you want but like and this
21:28
is a very useful
21:30
object but that rain jacket windbreaker
21:34
hoodie whatever floats your boat that's
21:37
very important now the second thing I
21:39
like about a plate carrier is I want it
21:41
to be
21:42
scalable this one
21:45
on has a magnetic placard that can scale
21:49
this bad boy up to a much much more
21:52
carrying capacity right to a certain
21:54
extent they have different types of
21:55
placards and I can put whatever I want
21:57
in these elastic ones these are just
21:59
examples and when you start scaling
22:02
upward you can you can start doing more
22:04
stuff now that those magnets will work
22:07
through my clothing through a hoodie
22:10
through that vest so I don't have to
22:12
worry about like opening it up to get or
22:14
access any of these things I could just
22:16
literally stick it on me and go now if I
22:18
wanted it to be more concealed then I
22:20
would stick it underneath them but
22:21
that's the benefits to this kind of
22:23
setup versus clipping something in or
22:26
velcroing something on um the magnet
22:28
setup is definitely something you can
22:30
buy off of velocity systems website they
22:33
have a plate that goes inside with your
22:35
plates and it's just this kind of metal
22:38
piece and then this magnetic placard
22:40
that goes on and off and they have
22:42
different ones so something to look at
22:44
it's very very useful uh velocity
22:46
doesn't pay me anything um they they
22:49
just make good stuff i' I've been fans
22:51
of them for a long time so a LZ setup
22:53
that will help you kind of blend but
22:56
also then scale up very important to me
22:59
at least so up to you on how you want to
23:00
look at
23:04
this now next thing right so we're we're
23:07
we're going further in this line right
23:09
so we went from a plate carrier now into
23:13
medical now medical for me like I said I
23:16
like using some kind of fanny pack now
23:19
fanny pack that you use can be normal it
23:21
could be the spiritus one it could be
23:22
whatever you want but I like something
23:24
that looks relatively normal so that I
23:25
don't get picked out now the cool part
23:28
about a fanny and what I like about it
23:30
about your fanny uh is that I can scale
23:34
further because it's just a little belt
23:36
that I can just snap on so for example
23:39
and I added things to this to show you
23:41
but you can clip your gloves to it which
23:43
where the heck is my other glove so
23:45
we'll have to find that I think I
23:46
dropped it somewhere uh but you can
23:48
23:51
tourniquets right so this jtac
23:55
jtactical uh tourniquet holder can hold
23:59
tourniquet it could hold mags it could
24:00
hold other things whatever you want and
24:03
or you can scale it to something like
24:05
this and throw any kind of GP pouch on
24:07
here and just route it through this
24:09
one's from cry and add more things to
24:12
this game like water purification a
24:16
notebook to take notes or something an
24:18
emergency shelter or some kind of
24:20
camouflage right we never know uh you
24:22
can also add in simple things like
24:25
signaling mirrors or a way to signal
24:28
right you can do your fire could be in
24:30
here some kind of lighter maybe chem
24:32
lights for signaling so things like that
24:35
that you can kind of adjust or put into
24:37
different
24:38
things and once again add more
24:40
scalability to that setup so that it's
24:43
not just a medical thing it could also
24:45
be all your signaling stuff and or keep
24:48
that in the backpack or bag or whatever
24:50
however you want to do it just showing
24:52
you guys options or ways of going about
24:54
it another flavor on a fanny that's
24:57
really useful
24:58
is long Tucky Supply they make one that
25:01
has pouches in the back uh really useful
25:04
I forgot to grab it out of my uh cabinet
25:06
but uh I set mine up for like long range
25:09
shooting but you can set it up for this
25:11
kind of stuff where you do medical on it
25:13
and then pouches in the back that can
25:14
accept some mags for what you're
25:16
carrying uh really useful or like that
25:19
can be used for more medical whatever
25:21
you want so lots of options lots of
25:23
options when it comes to a fanny pack I
25:25
like having them or the availability of
25:27
using one
25:32
lastly gas mask right I like having gas
25:36
mask available to me uh one of the
25:38
biggest things with a gas mask is
25:40
understand which one you have and what
25:42
it can protect you from so for
25:45
example this is Avon C50 um I've had an
25:49
Avon C50 for I want to say maybe 5 years
25:53
now it's a really good one uh Avon sells
25:56
to civilians so it's not a bad
25:59
uh like setup to get but this is
26:01
definitely like a law enforcement style
26:03
thing um it is really useful you can get
26:06
all sorts of stuff for it um I have a
26:09
like a drinking tube for it I have
26:11
things like that like canteen that go to
26:13
it for water uh so if in that
26:15
circumstance and I've got a lot of gas
26:17
around me I could do that different
26:18
filters will do different things so you
26:20
have to get the filter that is necessary
26:22
for what you're trying to do and
26:25
obviously as a right-handed shooter
26:27
right eye dominant I shoot with my right
26:29
side so my filter stays on my left now
26:31
I've done a lot of gas mask stuff
26:32
because of working with law enforcement
26:34
and working in the military a little bit
26:36
uh but most dudes probably remember that
26:39
military guys at least that you're
26:42
taught to prep your mask like so right
26:45
with it inside out so you can put it on
26:47
and flop this over what you'll find is
26:50
that you're going to start to bend these
26:52
little rubber portions outward and
26:54
you're going to start losing your seal
26:56
so especially for long-term storage so I
26:58
like actually just leaving them loose
27:00
especially these down these two down by
27:03
your nape all right or your chin these I
27:06
like having loose so those are the
27:07
bottom ones that are by your chin these
27:09
guys uh down her the ones that are
27:13
higher and the ones on top I usually
27:15
keep those sides for my head and all
27:17
I'll do is just whip this right over my
27:19
head and make sure I have a seal and
27:21
compress it and all that jazz so I like
27:24
having that set up this way because now
27:27
it gets to sit more natural and they're
27:29
not getting bent outward constantly
27:32
which will bend the seal to your Avon or
27:34
any mask really uh outward and you'll
27:37
lose your seal make sure your lenses are
27:39
clean right make sure they're taken care
27:41
of so you don't have all these like
27:43
scratches or fogging that happens uh cuz
27:46
it'll happen eventually but it's
27:47
something I want to try and prevent if
27:49
possible so that's how I keep my mask in
27:51
my bag taken care of in that way so the
27:56
bag here this is a GMP right gas mask
27:58
pouch from uh the guys at Thief boom
28:02
great pouch the dudes over there have
28:05
been friends forever I love them to
28:07
death and uh and they've been such good
28:09
dudes but this is like one of their best
28:11
products they ever came out with uh
28:13
because gas masks are a pain in the butt
28:14
to carry but if you make it into a big
28:16
fanny pack it is really really useful so
28:19
just a way of carrying it but at least
28:22
my
28:22
favorite
28:24
so now with that guys obviously we
28:27
talked talked about a few other things
28:29
earlier but you can this is like what I
28:31
said like kind of a like the basic right
28:34
like what I would say is my first line
28:37
hey this is how I have it set up and if
28:39
I need to scale up I can scale up if I
28:42
want to scale down I can scale down um
28:44
depending on what you're trying to do
28:45
and what you're trying to carry but
28:47
hopefully this makes sense if you need
28:49
any help or or have any questions or
28:51
have anything to add even cuz some of
28:53
you guys may have more more knowledge
28:55
about these kind of things too uh put
28:57
them down below and uh and see what we
28:59
get out of these comments all right hope
29:01
this helps guys take care
